About Us
We are a group of young men and women in Ireland who have been widowed at a young age. We welcome those who have been widowed before their 50th birthday, with or without children to support, encourage and comfort one another on this journey.
Because we felt it would be difficult to relate to a support group for seniors, four of us met in June 2008. It was an informal get together but our experiences with bereavement were very similar. We met again and the strength and hope at these get togethers were the inspiration to start our own group.
We know now that we can offer unique mutual support to others. The group is very much in its early stages and sadly, there are many new people joining us month by month, both newly bereaved and those who are further along in their journey.
The aim is to be a central point where young widows and widowers can share their stories and hopefully meet and organize activities together.
